There’s something special about a stay that feels both inspiring and grounding at the same time — and Lunori Highlandswas exactly that.
Justin and I spent two nights in Highlands, North Carolina capturing this beautifully designed luxury short-term rental for our hospitality portfolio through Stay Productions by Lane Collins Photography. Our goal was to fully experience the property the way guests would — slowing down long enough to photograph both sides of the stay in different lighting, moods, and moments.
What we loved most about Lunori Highlands was how intentionally different each space felt.
We especially loved the mid-century modern fireplaces in each unit. Between building fires indoors during chilly mountain evenings and ending the nights around the outdoor fire pit, the property naturally created the kind of guest experience travelers are searching for when booking a luxury cabin stay in Highlands, NC.

One side leaned cozy and nostalgic with warm retro-inspired touches, rich wood tones, and an inviting cabin atmosphere. The other side felt elevated and architectural, featuring luxe textures, dramatic windows, and a stunning spiral staircase leading to the loft space above.
The entire property was filled with beautiful natural light — the kind photographers dream about. Every corner shifted throughout the day, creating warm shadows, soft highlights, and cozy moments that made the space feel alive.
